This is the first day I really started to try to learn to draw. You can see a lot of different things I was trying out to understand form, perspective, and shading.
I remembered basic shading from middle school art class, but everything else was novel to me. I did a lot of hand gesture exercises from Line of Action
Shoutout to my friend Aki for giving me a ton of good resources to learn these things!
- implying form only with shading
- loomis method for heads
- 1 point, 2 point, 3 point, and orthographic projections
- hand and foot gestures
- compositions of basic forms
- manupulations of basic forms (bending, twisting, stretching)
- sketch from reference of my friend baldark and a doodle of his banjo
- hand gestures
- modified basic forms (contours, tapering, bending, cutting)
- reference drawing (soda can)
- heads (maybe an attempted self portrait? I don't remember)
